Nick here, your friendly neighborhood webcomics creator!
It’s been a few weeks now of the new comic coming out every Thursday. If you’ve been reading the new comics and you’re reading this right now I would like to thank you.
I’d also love to get some feedback on what people think about the direction we’re heading. Writing webcomics as a long form singular story is new to me so I’m still sorting out how to ride the line of story while pulling off sweet joke tricks and manuals. You can shout at me on twitter @Sticholas
We also have 3 more amazing videos coming out to introduce new people to our beloved gang of drunks. If you missed the first two you can watch Zwit’Tig’s and Sweet D’s videos on our Youtube channel now!
This is going to be short and sweet.
Here’s a sneak peak at the new look for the webcomic! It’s not entirely different, but the process to make it was almost all new.
The launch is still planned for the end of the current season of the D’n’DUI podcast. Which is coming up fast. In the meantime let me know what you think of the test strip here (it may or may not end up running).
Nick here, your intrepid webcomic’s artist and invisible DnDUI member.
If you’re reading this, I assume ( maybe I hope ), you’re a fan of the DnDUI webcomic that I’ve been making once a week for over two years now. Well I’ve come to a cross roads in my thinking when it comes to the webcomic.
I don’t think I’ve been making the comic I want to make and honestly I don’t think I’ve been making what you want to read. When the webcomic first launched we got an enormous response from the r/dnd reddit, hundreds of upvotes, lots of great comments. It was awesome, but it eventually led to me making my comic like a blockbuster movie, trying to just appeal to the masses and kinda losing characters and the original spirit of DnDUI.
I’m still a massive fan of DnDUI and still love playing in that world and with the characters of my friends in the group and the fiction they’ve built. In order to get back to that, I’m going to extend my short break from posting a comic once a week. The break started while I was getting married and away on my honeymoon but it seems like a good time to rethink the comic.
I will try and post updates here whenever something relevant develops but just know that I am still working on it and thinking about it every day.
If you have any feedback about the comic I’d love to hear it, since really if you’ve read this far than you are the audience for the comic and I thank you.
Mic test… Check… 1… 2…
Things have been a little quiet around here, but it doesn’t mean we’re fading. In fact, it’s the calm before the storm. We have been reaching out to people we like in hopes to work together on cool projects. So I thought I would take this opportunity to shout out the people we like most. You!
During our mailbag episode we were asked if DnDUI surpassed our expectations. Resoundingly yes! We have received so much love and support it is inspiring. When people I match with on Tinder already know DnDUI before my gushing about it, it makes me feel like we are doing something right by the community.
Dawww, you guys.
When we set out to learn how to play D&D two years ago, we turned to the internet (see subheading Reddit & Podcasts) as we do with most crucial knowledge. When 5th Edition arrived we wanted to give back and be the resource for people starting up and looking for help like we did!
We always want to hear our visitors thoughts, suggestions, and ideas. Whether you come here for entertainment, learning, or you have a burning crush on Raff, we want to say we appreciate it and want to know how we can do more for you.

Next weekend we’ll be hanging out at the Metro Toronto Convention Center for FAN EXPO 2014!
In celebration we decided to share our excitement by making everything on the D’n’DUI store 25% off!
That means you can get 6 shot glasses for 6$, webcomic prints for 5$ & more deals until the show ends August 31st!
So if you can’t make it to Toronto to meet the gang in person, pick up some swag & we’ll say hey the old fashion way! Sending awesome stuff in the mail!

While we were at Indy Pop Con in Indianapolis a few months ago we saw a dude cosplaying as the big bad dark elf from THOR the Dark World.
That dude looks a lot like Sweet D. Which was something CJ has brought up before on the podcast. So when we saw the cosplayer, CJ wanted to get a picture with him, after which he said something along the lines of “I just got a picture with Sweet D, that’s so great!” To which I replied, “but it’s Sweet D from the future. It’s Future D.” Continue reading

We were nominated by our fan Gabrielle, and we returned the favor to other drunk gamers, Q, Craig and the cast of Crit Juice.

So Fizban is one of the characters I want to spend more time with as I mentioned in a previous blog post. Which is why today’s comic is the first of hopefully many Fizbusters strips!
Things are about to get bigger.
I’ve decided to try & expand the world that the DnDUI webcomic explores. Marco has created an amazing expansive cast of characters within his DnD universe that we dont see much at all in the webcomic.
I still love the Charolastros & doing jokes about how strong Remo is or how Sweet D can be pretentious. That stuff will always be out bread & butter. There is more of this world for us to explore though, so over the next few weeks we’re going to start branching out.
I hope you enjoy the sights, hold onto your butts.
